Welcome!
Welcome to the Fellowship General Baptist Church study site for C.S. Lewis' classic book "Mere Christianity." Our first lesson on chapter one will be posted on Sunday, June 5. New posts will appear each Sunday afternoon for each subsequent chapter. Use the "comments" button at the end of each post to respond to the lesson. I hope that this will be a blessing to you in your Christian walk.
I've wanted to lead a study session over this book for many years. Dr. Lewis' book was instrumental in my journey toward fully and unreservedly accepting Jesus Christ as both Savior and Lord. Busy schedules, an active family life and a full slate of church activities on both Sunday and Wednesday have always prevented me from attempting an in-class study, but thanks to the Internet and blogger.com, we now can share our experience with this wonderful book from the comfort of our own homes.
I've provided several links at the top of the page. The first ones will take you to online booksellers for those of you who do not yet own the book. The others, which I will add to as I discover more, are links to various sites dealing with both Dr. Lewis and Christian apologetics. Feel free to browse these links at your convenience, and should you find others on your own that you think would add to this study, please forward them along to me so I can add them to our list. You can contact me directly at msand1126@yahoo.com.
Thank you for joining our study of "Mere Christianity," and may God bless your life with his word.

Hi Mark, I wanted to give you a few other apologetics-based websites that you might want to add to the list. (I'm David, from Denny's sunday school class, by the way.)
www.tektonics.org -- Tekton Apologetics Ministries
Very good website dealing with Bible 'contradictions,' the Jesus myth, and a wealth of information on authors and speakers within & without Christianity.
www.christian-thinktank.com --The Christian Thinktank
Excellent website ran by Glenn Miller (no, not the jazz musician). Deals mostly with the painful questions often asked of Christians.
www.apologeticsindex.org--A very good reference site for finding just about any religious group, teaching, or individual. It has about seven thousand plus entries in its database and it's still growing.
